The First Post

This is the first year I've really been consistent about composting. I think in the past I made it too complicated and gave up.

This year, I have a small tub in my sink for cut up fruit & veggies scraps, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc., which gets dumped into a larger tub on the balcony, which gets carried down to the yard and dumped into a corner of the garden. I bury it, and turn the soil with a shovel about once a week, and that's it. And let me tell you, I have the happiest heap of worms you've ever seen!!

Now all I have to do is distribute it over the main area of the garden, before I plant this spring. I'm interested to see the difference that it makes in my crop. I'll keep you posted...
